  • Fewer than a dozen, more than a few. Kimberly and Crew enjoy their Secret Santa Shopping.

It takes a village to raise a family — but sometimes the moms of the village need to celebrate. Celebrate their friendships. Celebrate themselves. Celebrate shopping. Secret Santa to the rescue.

The Local Ladies meet up for their annual Secret Santa shopping trip at a local pub or lounge. Sometimes it's Church Key for the first drink, where they check in with each other and draw names. It’s casual, comfortable, and relaxed. (Shouldn’t all holiday shopping be?!) 

Then off they go shopping, looking for that perfect something for 25 bucks or less. Last year the ladies met up after for the gift exchange at Salt ’n Iron, where they find a nice big table in a quiet corner. “Everybody is in love with the avocado toast. You can only order it off the lunch menu. But since this is a Secret Santa story… shhhh…. you can special request it anytime ;-)

  • Church Key Pub - Casual and fun. Drinks are good — so says Kimberly K., who favors the Moscow Mule here.
  • Salt ’n Iron — the drinks are always good, and the Avocado Toast is a group favorite
  • Sunset 190 - It might be hard to get in here because it’s the new kid in town for great restaurants and bars, but it’s worth trying!
  • Las Brisas - This is a great place to kick off the afternoon. A finalist for best restaurants in Edmonds.
